canvas with movement fiber art
Each tapestry is uniquely one of a kind, so once it’s sold, you’ll never see it again... unless it becomes a special edition PRINT.
All pieces created in Dallas, by artist Lauren Williams.
The next step in curating an inspiring and artistic home, The Modern-Bohemian home collection allows art to go beyond your walls.
Committed to sound animal husbandry and sustainable agricultural practices, Lauren Williams® ART + HOME has partnered with small, eco-friendly ranch operations in Wyoming, to bring a yarn unlike any other to her studio. Working directly with a local mill to customize a yarn that could withstand the weight of the dye without fraying or thinning during her process, Lauren was able to perfect the materials used in her one-of-a-kind Canvas With Movement fiber art.
“I like to think that my tapestries are a canvas, but with movement."
Lauren Williams is the artist behind the modern-bohemian, dip dyed fiber art that is adding beauty, texture and interest to walls throughout the world. With a passion to design inspiring, peaceful and artful settings, the self-taught painter wanted to create an alternative to canvas art for her own home.
A large, blank wall in Lauren's dining room inspired her first wall hanging. Motivated by a love for modern art and the art of macramé, she developed a form of fiber art unlike any other.
Each piece in the CANVAS WITH MOVEMENT tapestry collection is one of a kind and reflects her modern, bohemian style. The Texas native has roots in California and influences from her time living and traveling throughout the world.
Constructed of more than 400 single fiber strands, every CANVAS WITH MOVEMENT tapestry is unique from the beginning. Once built, the modern-bohemian hanging is dip-dyed in multiple layers for a textured and inspiring addition to your wall. Each one-of-a-kind piece is handmade by Lauren Williams in Dallas, Texas.
CANVAS WITH MOVEMENT tapestries come in various sizes, styles and colors. Custom tapestries can be commissioned and built to your specifications. Due to high demand, commissioned pieces have a 6-8 week turnaround.
Should a custom size or style be the best solution for your space, we look forward to discussing your vision!
