There are no refunds or exchanges on purchased art. Any artwork or home decor items, including made to order pillows, throws and quilts, are final sale.
We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items. In the rare occurrence of a lost or damaged shipment, we insure each package and must be made aware of damaged or lost items within 30 days of shipment in order to file a claim for reimbursement.
All shipping charges are non-refundable and all return shipping cost due to damage are the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend all damaged goods be returned for repair and insured with a tracking number. Please email Hello @ LaurenWilliamsART.com if returning a damaged item ASAP.

Can I add a note for delivery/change my address/schedule a delivery time/hold my package?
Yes! Through FedEx’s Delivery Manager you can customize your delivery to change an address, hold your package at your local FedEx office, add delivery instructions, schedule an exact delivery time, and so much more. This feature can be found in your order confirmation e-mail or by clicking here.
will the tapestry stain my wall?
Similar to a new, unwashed garment that has been hand dyed, a transfer of color can happen. Hundreds of dip dyed tapestries have hung on the studio's white walls without leaving any marks. However, if you were to rub the strands into your wall, you would probably see a mark on the wall or your fingers. You should carefully run your fingers downward to separate the strands after hanging, but once situated, the tapestry should not be touched.
How do I clean the tapestry?
Remove the tapestry from the wall and while outdoors, sway from side to side to release any dust particles. Any dust that has gathered on the wood may be brushed away with a dry cloth. Do not use a damp cloth or cleaning products, as dye may bleed.
What are the standard tapestry dimensions?
Linear Tapestries: *measurement includes walnut wooden panel
Small: 36" across* and hangs 48" long
Medium: 72" across* and hangs 28" long
Large: 72" across* and hangs 48" long
diameter is between 36" and 48" across; custom designed pieces may exceed 48" if requested.
THE TAPESTRY I WANT IS "SOLD OUT". What now?
Each tapestry is unique, therefore cannot be replicated. Once it is sold, it is gone! The shop is updated monthly with new work, however pieces sell quickly. If you are a designer or working with a designer, we can discuss a custom piece to accommodate your space, using a reference photo of a previous work that is sold. Due to the unique nature of each piece, replication is impossible, however Lauren will work with the designer to create a piece that you love based on colors, style and design. Every hanging is hand made, packaged, and shipped by Lauren and her team, so your patience is appreciated. While working quickly, top quality craftsmanship is never rushed. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Shipping a Canvas With Movement® tapestry within the continental US ranges between $30 and $75. International shipping averages $200 per package. International postal services and systems may require purchaser to pay additional customs fees or duty taxes at customs. Lauren Williams® is not responsible for additional fees or taxes.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY TAPESTRY?
Your tapestry will ship within 5-7 business days of purchase. Custom orders have a 6-8 week turnaround once the deposit has been made and details regarding your tapestry have been discussed with Lauren. All tapestries are shipped via Fed Ex ground, for a 3-5 day delivery. You will receive a tracking number once your tapestry has shipped. A signature is required for delivery. Please email immediately following your purchase if you would like to remove the signature requirement and value for insurance on the piece. Lauren Williams ART + HOME cannot be responsible for artwork shipped without insurance coverage and signature requirement.
how long does it take to make a tapestry?
Every piece takes a great deal of time. The process begins in the wood shop by choosing the most beautiful walnut planks. Each piece is cut, sanded, and treated before cutting and attaching the 100% wool, Canvas With Movement fiber strands, one by one. Once the canvas is built, the dyeing begins. Lauren usually works on multiple pieces at once, shifting between them as she changes dye colors or waits for the latest layer of dye to dry. Lauren uses drying breaks to decide on color layers and make design decisions. Once the last layer of dye is complete, the tapestry is left to dry overnight. Should metallic detail be part of the design, this step requires a day of work. Lauren claims to remain "purposefully ignorant" of the time it takes to make each one, but it's safe to say that more than 15 hours and sometimes up to 3 months can go into a single tapestry.
how TO hang the tapestry?
We provide hanging instructions with each piece that is shipped. We also include hardware for your piece to hang perfectly. Directions for hanging your tapestry, as well as hardware are included in your package. The hanging will rest on top of the hardware provided.
What materials do you use?
The walnut wood is sourced locally. The fiber strands are Lauren's signature line of 100% pure wool created by partnering with a small, eco-friendly ranch operation in Wyoming. The small ranch and local mill work together with Lauren and as a group are committed to sound animal husbandry and sustainable agricultural practices. Various dyes, dilluted paints, and other staining liquids are used in the process of creating a CANVAS WITH MOVEMENT® tapestry. Should allergies related to natural fibers be a concern, please email HELLO @ LaurenWilliamsART.com to discuss other options.
Can i use a different carrier for shipment?
Fed Ex is the chosen shipping carrier based on price and care. The kraft mailing tubes that we use to ship Large, Medium, and most Custom Tapestry sizes are 74" long. Fed Ex offers the best shipping rates for a package this size. FedEx is used for the velvet pillows, throws and canvas artwork. USPS is used for prints.
Why is my phone number required at checkout?
Due to the value of each product purchased at Lauren Williams ART + HOME, a signature is required upon delivery. In order to make sure you are able to sign for your package, text notifications from FedEx are sent. FedEx will send text message notifications for expected delivery time and date as well as delivery confirmation. If you will not be available to sign for your package, please provide a shipping address where it can be accepted and signed for. Packages returned will require additional shipping costs to be sent out again.

Linear tapestry sizes range from "small" to "large" scale pieces and the styles vary to include metallic embellishments and detailed dye designs. Within every collection designed by Lauren, a variety of sizes and styles are included.
